Earlier in the year, we briefed a group of first year Graphic Design students at Plymouth Art College to come up with some fresh ideas for inspiring people to get out on the South West Coast Path near Plymouth. Last month, we got the chance to catch up with those same students and see how their ideas had come to life at an exhibition show.
Over the course of six weeks, Gary is running the entire length of the coast from Minehead in Somerset to Sandbanks in Poole – a staggering distance of 1,013 km (630 miles) – at a pace of a half marathon every day.
We don’t all get to have an ‘Official Birthday’ like the Queen is having this weekend, but we can all use our birthdays to do something amazing thanks to the new Facebook Birthday Fundraiser feature.
Tomorrow is World Environment Day and globally we’re turning our attention to air pollution. Here in the South West, our coast gives us all the chance to breath in deep lungfuls of fresh air on a regular basis. But we mustn’t take it for granted. We all need to take action to protect our environment and there are things we can do right now to make a difference, like changing the way you get to the South West Coast Path.
I must be the first rabbit to have completed the whole path! I set off from Minehead on 30th April 2014 with my mum, Liz Owsley, and her friend Mary Hansell.
