To celebrate World Rivers Day we hear from the Voices of Water Foundation (VoW) founder, Emmeline Hardisty, who is campaigning for better protection of the Rivers and Rias (drowned river valleys) in England and Wales, as she takes on a pilgrimage, a ‘tributary mission’, to raise awareness of VoW and its campaign.
Welcoming aboard one of our new Way Maker businesses, Cottages on the Coast, a family-owned holiday lettings agent in North Devon. In their guest blog, Oliver and Alice, the duo behind Cottages on the Coast, share with us their 5 favourite family walks in North Devon to help you slow down, connect, and enjoy the best of the North Devon coastline.
We aim to make our Coast Path Connectors community walks as accessible as possible for as many people as possible. Where we can, we like to use public transport so that everyone can get to the start points easily and so that participants can do the walks by themselves at a later date. Here are a few suggestions of some walks from our hub areas using public transport.
Welcome back to our blog series, ‘A Taste of The Salt Path’, where we share 3-day walking itineraries featuring filming locations from The Salt Path, with quotes from Raynor Winn’s best-selling memoir. In this fourth walking itinerary, we walk the Cornish coast from Boscastle to Padstow, tracing clifftop paths, remote coves, and fishing villages, ending with a ferry ride into one of Cornwall’s most beloved harbour towns. Expect dramatic ascents and descents, hidden valleys and headlands, and sweeping views across the Atlantic.
If you’re planning your next adventure on the South West Coast Path, then look no further than our pick of camping and glamping spots across the trail, with budget-friendly options to farm stays, holiday parks and glamping sites, so that you can plan your next solo expedition or family holiday in style.
